u=-15, f=20, v=?

By applying mirrors formula-

=> 1/v+1/u=1/f

=>1/v+1/-15=1/20

=>1/v-1/15=1/20

=>1/v=1/20+1/15

=>1/v=2+3/60

=>1/v=7/60

=>v=60/7

=8.51cm (approx)

The image distance(v) is positive. So, it formed a virtual and erect image..

I think it will help you..

Explanation:

19. In the length displacement method to find the

focal length of a convex lens the distance

between the source and the screen is 100 cm

and the distance between the two positions of

the lens giving the magnified image and the

diminished imagew is 40 cm. Calculate the

focal length of the lens. (Ans. f = 21 cm)......please solve this question for me....its really very urgent
