The Orange line is the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus located in the Islamabad-Rawalpindi metropolitan area of Pakistan. It is an 83.6 km rapid bus transit system. It is a convenient and well-managed traveling transport route having a chain of proper stations built along the line. This route connects Peshawar Morr to New Islamabad International airport. This line worth Rs16 billion was started by the PML-N government in 2017 and was inaugurated on 18 April 2022 by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a high profile inaugeration ceremony that was attended by key stakeholders of the project and foreign diplomats.
The orange line has around 30 modern buses and about 2500 to 2600 commuters who use this service on a daily basis. The buses leave and arrive at the station every 5 minutes during peak hours to make sure that users of this state-of-the-art service won’t face any delays.
