The Harappan civilization consisted of burial sites which were either circular or semi-circular in shape. The bodies were stretched out with the ‘arms and legs’ extended. There were number of skeletons, bones, shell bangles, grinding stones and rock blades which were found from the site.

The sites were discovered in different districts of Gujarat. The smallest grave that was discovered was about 1.2 m and the largest grave was about 6.9 m. The graves also contained certain form of pottery vessels which was placed near the foot of the grave.
