Answer:

Are Parents Always Right?

Views against the topic:

We have always been taught that questioning some well established rules and concepts, is not a good thing to do. Asking whether some of the religious rituals are even legal, is considered a heresy. So, at such a time, considering your parents wrong is also heresy.

If we say that, since our parents belong to another era, they must not impose the rules and regulations of that time on us, because our era is different, we are considered to be disrespectful. But, people forget that, even when Newton had questioned some 'Great Theories' about the movement of planets and Earth, people thought his believes were heretical. However, it was those views that led to the formation of The Law of Gravitation, which, now, we proudly call "universal".

So, what I'm trying to say is, that questioning any established belief, or the views of one's parents, must never be considered wrong, it might even lead to a discovery that the posterity will behold with respect.

Also, since its our fundamental right, we must be allowed to form and keep our views about all matters affecting us.

Also, when some conservative families dont allow a girl to study in a co-ed institution, no matter how prestigious it may be, Who is wrong? the girl or her parents?

When sometimes, boys who like to cook, are criticised by their elders for doing something that's not meant for them (i.e, cooking) who is wrong? the boy or his parents?

when a child who wants to become an artist, is not allowed by his/her parents to pursue his/her dream, because it is not utterly high-paying, who is wrong? the child or his parents?

I suppose, by now, I have got my point across, which is, ''it's not necessary that just because someone is a parent he/she must always be right, rather it depends on the wisdom of the person."

Sorry, I know I haven't provided views For the topic. But, I hope what I've written against the topic, helps you :)
