Diameter of Cone = 24 m
Height of Cone = 3.5 m
Radius of Cone = diameter/2 = 24/2 = 12 m
Volume of rice = volume of cone
volume of cone = ⅓ πr²h
Volume of rice = 1/3 × 22/7 × (12)² × 3.5
Volume of rice = 1/3 × 22/7 × 144 × 7/2
= 48 × 11 = 528 m³
Volume of rice = 528 m³

Area of canvas cloth = curved surface area of cone = πrl

Slant Height ( l )= √r² + h²
= √12² + 3.5²
= √144 + 12.25
= √156.25 = 12.5 m
Slant Height ( l )= 12.5 m

Area of canvas cloth = πrl
= 22/7 × 12 × 12.5
= 471.42 m²

Hence, the volume of rice is 528 m³ & Area of canvas cloth is 471.42 m²

Volume = 1 / 3 * π * ( radius )^2 * height

Here,

Radius = diameter / 2

Radius = 12 m

Substituting,

1 / 3 * 3.14 * ( 12 )^2 * 3.5

Volume = 528 cu.m

The cloth required to cover = π * radius * length

To find length,

Length = √ ( height )^2 + ( radius )^2

Substituting,

√ ( 3.5 )^2 + ( 12 )^2

Hence,

Length = 12.5 m

3.14 * 12 * 12.5

The cloth required = 471.4 sq.m
