<b><u>Let us take that he had $x .</b></u>

Money spent on shirt = 3/7of x. = $3x/7.

Money left with her = x - 3x/7 = $4x/7.

Money spent on trousers = 1/2of 4x/7 = $4x/14.

Money left with her = $23.

So Atq , $(3x/7+4x/14+23).=$x.

or$10x/14+23=$x.

or$23. =$(x-10x/14)

or$23. =$2x/7

<b>Therefore x. =23×7/2=$80.5

Answer:

$57.50 spend altogether.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let total money Aneesh has be x

Aneesh spend \frac{3}{7} of his money on a shirt,

Spend on shirt  =\frac{3}{7}x

Remaining money  =x-\frac{3}{7}x=\frac{4}{7}x

Aneesh spend \frac{1}{2} of of the remainder on a pair of trousers.

Spend on trouser   =\frac{1}{2}\times \frac{4}{7}x=\frac{2}{7}x

He had left $23

According to question,

\frac{3}{7}x+\frac{2}{7}x+23=x

Multiply by 7 to each term of the equation

7\times \frac{3}{7}x+7\times \frac{2}{7}x+7\times 23=7x

3x+2x+161=7x

2x=161

x=$80.50

Aneesh Spend on shopping = 80.50-23.00 = $57.50
