Given:

∠ABE = 139°

∠ACD = 156°

To find:

∠BAC

Solution:

From the figure attached below, we get

∠ABE + ∠ABC = 180° ...... [Linear Pairs]

⇒ 139° + ∠ABC = 180°

⇒ ∠ABC = 180° - 139°

∠ABC = 41°

and

∠ACD + ∠ACB = 180° ...... [Linear Pairs]

⇒ 156° + ∠ACB = 180°

⇒ ∠ACB = 180° - 156°

∠ACB = 24°

Now,

In ΔABC, we get

∠ABC + ∠ACB + ∠BAC = 180° ..... [Angle sum property]

⇒ 41° + 24° + ∠BAC = 180°

⇒ 65° + ∠BAC = 180°

⇒ ∠BAC = 180° - 65°

∠BAC = 115°
