Answer:

CGST = SGST = (7627.12)/ 2 = Rs. 3813.56  on MRP Rs. 50,000

CGST = SGST = (6,864.4)/ 2 = Rs. 3,432.2 on Discounted Price.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hey Mate,

MRP of the Laptop = Rs. 50,000

Discount = 10%

GST = 18%

Discounted Price = 50,000 - (50,000/ 100) × 10 = Rs. 45,000

We all knows that the MRP has included GST.

So,

Original Price + GST = MRP

100 % + 18% = 50,000

118% = 50,000

100% = (50,000/ 118) × 100

100% = 42372.88 (Original Price)

So, GST = 18% = Rs. 7627.12

CGST = SGST = (7627.12)/ 2 = Rs. 3813.56 On MRP

Original Price + GST = MRP

100 % + 18% = 45,000

118% = 40,000

100% = (45,000/ 118) × 100

100% = 38,135.6 (Original Price)

So, GST = 18% = Rs. 6,864.4

CGST = SGST = (6,864.4)/ 2 = Rs. 3,432.2 on Discounted Price.
