Please help me out , friends!


A disc of mass 200 kg and radius 0.5 m is rotating at the rate of 8 revolutions per second. Find the constant torque required to stop the wheel in 11 rotations.​

Firstly find 'w'

w=2pif=2*pi*8=16pi

Now apply 3rd law of motion as time is not known;

w(final)=0

w(initial)=16pi

theta or angular dispacement=11*2pi(as 360degree is 2pi)

0=(16pi)^2 - 2*@*11*2pi (@ is ang. acc.)

once u find @ u can calculate torque as torque is equal to "i@".hope this helps u!!!!
