AUB means a set of elements in which the elements of both the elements of A and B are present. also there might be some elements which are common among four and b and doors will be written only once in the set A U B. thus, untill the number of common elements between sets A and B is not mentioned we can't tell what willbe the number of elements in AUB. i think that there's a mistake in the question. and on calculating simply (without considering the common elements) the answer will come 4+6 = 10...
