=25×15

=375 sq. m

= total length of unshaded part =.13

total breath of unshaded part = 5

area of unshaded part = l×b

= 13×5

=65sq.m

area of shaded part = 375-65

=310sq.m

(b)breath of whole rectangle = 8 +3.5+3.5

=15m

length of whole rectangle = 13+6+6

= 25 m

area of whole rectangle = l×b

= 15×25

=375sq.m

length of unshaded part = 12 m

breath of unshaded part =7 m

area of unshaded part = 12 ×7

=84 sq.m

area of shaded part = 375 -84

=291sq.m
