in ques 1... b part is the transversal and other parts are not because a transversal is a line that intersect two parallel lines and this case is fulfilled in part b only.
in ques 2... x is 70 degree as it is corresponding angle and y is 180-70= 110 degree. ( pair of linear pairs).

1. Line l is transversal in figure(b).

Reason => Transveral is a line segment which intersect two or more straight line. So, in figure b ... there are two straight line at which one line intersect. So, figure b is has line (l) transversal.

2. One angle given 70°.
    Then, = 70° (corresponding angle)
              y  = 180° - 70° (co-interior angles)
                  = 110°
[Hence, angles are proved]
