Answer:

Triangular Girder is in the shape of Triangular Prism.

  • Triangular Base = 60 m
  • Triangular Height = 90 m
  • Length of Girder = 5 m

Volume of metal used in casting it :

⇒ Volume = Volume of Triangular Prism

⇒ Volume = Area of Base Triangle × Length

⇒ Volume = 1/2 × Base × Height × Length

⇒ Volume = 1/2 × 60 m × 90 m × 5 m

⇒ Volume = 30 m × 90 m × 5 × m

⇒ Volume = 13500 m³

⇒ Volume = 13500 × 100 × 100 × 100 cm³

⇒ Volume = 13500000000

Volume = 135 × 10 cm³

Volume of metal used is 135 × 10 cm³.

Anonymous: You should multiply it 3 times by 100 i.e.100×100×100×volume.
Anonymous: because base and height are also in meter you should also change unit of base and height
ZAYNN: question didn't clearly mention about measurements of triangular sides. so you can't reach to any conclusion. mine is correct too
Anonymous: but it is obvious that it is triangular girder whose measurements can't be in cm
ZAYNN: Why can't measurements be in cm?
Anonymous: Because trianglular girder will be like a bridge.
Anonymous: and cm will be very small unit for girder.

GIVEN:

  • Base of trianglular girder is 60m
  • Height of trianglular girder is 90m
  • Length of trianglular girder is 5m

TO FIND:

  • Volume of trianglular girder

SOLUTION:

As we know that triangular girder will be in the shape of a prism.

So Formula of volume of girder will be:-

½×Length×Base×height

➠½×60×90×5m³

➠13500m³

➠13500×100×100×100cm³

➠13500000000cm³

•°•Volume of trianglular girder is 13500000000cm³.
