What is the role of trust in our relationships with our friends and family? How would these relationships be affected if you found out that someone was lying to you ?

Trust is the most important part of any relationship, a relationship without trust is not likely to survive for a long time, whether it is  relationship with friends or family, without trust, it is just a tie,it’s not a bond.I would indeed get angry at first after finding out that someone close is lying to me, but before reacting,it is very important to directly ask the person the reason for the lie.This will clarify matters instantly.But sometimes,even asking the person the reason for the lie is not considered as important, because there is no trust,no strength in the relationship.That is why trust is so important in relationships.
