5) Well normally the rainwater is the major source of irrigation but following are some other sources :-
(i) Dams
(ii) Canals
(iii) Well Irrigation
(iv) Tank Irrigation
6) There are two categories of crop (i) Kharif crop & (ii) Rabi Crop
(i) Kharif Crop :- The crop which is grown in rainy season are called Kharif Crop. Examples : Rice, Maize, bajra, soyabean etc.
(ii) Rabi Crop :- Crops which are grown in winter season normally October to March are called Rabi Crop. Examples : Wheat, Gram, Mustard etc.
7) We all know that plants need nutrient like nitrogen for their survival so leguminous plants have a symbiotic relationship with a nitrogen fixing bacteria namely Rhizobium which are present in their root nodules. These bacteria convert nitrogen into a compound which plants can use. So by this way they play important role.
