Why is food security essential in india? How does food security get affected during disaster?

It is important so that there is no unadequete amount of food, especially during famine.
Food security gets affected during disasters because of the  damage caused by the disaster. For example, during floods the crops fail to grow and water enters inside houses, damaging the food.
