Let the first AP be a,a+d,a+2d,....

The second AP be a, a+D, a+2D,....

Since \frac{d}{D}= \frac{1}{2}    OR     D = 2d

The second AP can be rewritten as

a, a+2d, a+4d,......

First AP has a as first term and d as common difference

Second AP has a has first term and 2d as common difference

7th term of first AP is 23

i.e  23 = a+6d....( equation (i) )

21st term of second AP is 125

i.e  125=a+40d....( equation (ii) )

(ii)-(i)

34d = 102

d=3

a = 23-6d=23-18=5

Hence the first AP is 5, 8, 11,....

Second AP is 5, 11, 17, 23,....

HOPE THIS HELPS!!
