Equation:-x^2+5x-14=0
x=3,-7.
Verifying whether the numericals are roots..
3^2+5×3-14
=9+15-14
=10.
10 is not equal to 0
so 3 is not a root of the given equation.

Taking x as -7
(-7)^2+5×(-7)-14
=49-35-14
=49-49
=0
Hence (-7) is a root of the equation...
