if the principal quantum number is 3 then it represents the 3rd shell

we know that 3rd shell contains 3 subshells they are s , p , d

secondary quantum number for s is zero

secondary quantum number for p is one

secondary quantum number for d is two

so the values of secondary quantum number for 3rd shell is 0 , 1 , 2

option C is the answer.
