Given :- LM CB & LN CD

To Prove :- AM/AB = AN/AD

Proof :-

Since, LM CB , CL = MB. & Since, LN CD , CL = ND. Therefore, MB = ND.

Now, as the lines are parallel. And have end points originated from the same point and coinciding at the same point. We can conclude the lines to be equal to each other like LN = ML & BC = CD.

Now, In AML, & ANL.

AL = AL (Commen)

ML = NL (Found)

Angle MAL = Angle NAL (Angle Bisector)

Therefore, we can conclude that AN = ND & AM = MB. Now, let MB be x. Then,

AM / AB = AN / AD

x / x + x = x / x + x

x / 2x = x / 2x

1/2 = 1/2
