1) Harris went to the maze because to show the way of maze to his cousin and some other people.
2)Harris decides he wants to go through the maze at Hampton Court, a royal palace once occupied by Henry VIII.
3)because it is difficult to locate the desired locations
4)When lost in the desert or a thick forest terrains devoid of landmarks people tend towalk in circles. Blindfolded people show the same tendency; lacking external reference points, they curve around in loops as tight as 66 feet (20 meters) in diameter, all the while believing they are walking in straight lines.
5) In short order, Harris has: absorbed all the persons in the maze. ... Harris becomes "unpopular." In the end, the crowd of lost souls calls out to the "keeper," who climbs into the maze with a ladder, but he is new and cannot lead them out either. They remain lost until the "old keeper" returns from dinner.
1)Harris had to face a lot of embarrassment inside the maze at
Hampton Court on account of his over-confidence and boastful attitude. Harris thought
the maze was too simple to be called a maze. As he went inside, he found people
struggling to find their way out. He scolded them for their inability to find
the way out. He told them to keep taking the first turning to the right for ten
minutes, and they will find the way out. Harris began walking, taking the right
turn; many people began following him. Even after walking for a long time they
could not find the way out. Harris suggested they would go back and start
afresh. However hard Harris tried, he could not find the way out. Finally
people became angry with him, and the experienced maze keeper was called and
took everyone out.

3)Jerome is not a good cook and he would rather stay away from it if he was given a chance. This can be seen from his contribution towards making the Irish stew. This task is also an example to show how inconsistent Jerome is in performing a task. As a result, he gets bored in doing one very soon. He started peeling potatoes along with Harris as his contribution towards the Irish stew. While he initially feels that this is easy, Jerome begins to soon feel bored and dissatisfied with the job. So, he starts cutting them to pea-sized pieces.
Jerome is also portrayed as a person who does not want others to know that he is timid. The best example of this is the morning swim that he had planned for along with his friends. The bitter cold put off the idea from everyone’s mind. Yet, Jerome went to the river and attempted a dip by holding on to a tree branch. But, the branch broke and the author fell into the very cold water. He came out and bravely told his friends that he enjoyed the swim.
