_______________________

Given , x = 2√3 + 2√2

To find the value of 1 / x

Now ,

1 / x

= 1 / 2√3 + 2√2

= ( 2√3 - 2√2 ) / ( 2√3 + 2√2 ) ( 2√3 - 2√2 )

= 2 ( √3 - √2 ) / ( 2√3 )² - ( 2√2 )²

[ • ( a² - b² ) = ( a + b ) ( a - b ) → Using the identity ]

= 2 ( √3 - √2 ) / 4 × 3 - 4 × 2

= 2 ( √3 - √2 ) / 12 - 8

= 2 ( √3 - √2 ) / 4

= ( √3 - √2 ) / 2 [ ★ Required answer ]

So , the value of the following is ( √3 - √2 ) / 2

x=2underroot3+2underroot3

therefore  1/x=1/2underroot3+2underroot2=1/2underroot3+2underroot2*2underroot3-2underroot2/2underroot3-2underroot2=1*2underroot3-2underroot2/2underroot3+2underroot2*2underroot3-2underroot2=2underroot3-2underroot2/12-8=2underroot3-2underroot2/4=2(underroot3-underroot2)/4=underroot3-underroot2/2
