cos thetha = adjacent side / hypotenuse

= 7/25

tan thetha = opposite side/adjacent side

= 24/7

since 24,7,25 are Pythagorean triplets

Given, in a right angle triangle ABC with right triangle at B in which

a =24 units b = 25 units and ∠BAC= θ

Using Pythagoras theorem,

     AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2

=> 25^2 = AB^2 + 24^2

=> 625 = AB^2 + 576

=> AB^2 = 625 - 576

=> AB^2 = 49

=> AB = √49

=> AB = 7

Now, cos θ = AB/AC

=> cos θ = 7/25

and tan θ = BC/AB

=> tan θ = 24/7
