Antibiotics kill indiscriminately, whereas vaccinesare highly targeted. Antibiotics are used to treat severe infection, whereas vaccines prevent infections from ever becoming established.

Antibiotics literally means against life.
It is the substance secreted by a fungi or a bacterium during their metabolic activities, these substance are used to stop the metabolism of bacteria or any other LIVING THING Eg:pennicillin, streptomycin etc.
Vaccination may be defined as the introduction of weakened germs into the host body so their WBC will become active towards that particular disease Eg: BCG for tuberculosis.
