1:-Deccan Plateau is a triangular landmass lies to the South of the river Narmada.
2:-The broad base of the Satpura range from its North while the Mahadeo hills, the Kaimur hills and the Maikal range from its Eastern extensions .
3:-The Deccan Plateau is higher in the western slope gently Eastward.
4:- An extension of the plateau is also visible in the North-East, generally known as the Meghalaya Karbi-Anglong plateau and North Cachar hills.
5:-Three prominent hill ranges from its West to East are the Garo, the Khasi and the Jaintia hills.
