Intercropping is the growing of two or more crops simultaneously in the same field in definite row pattern.
For ex- soybean+ maize.

MKbhatia: Intercropping is the companion planting method of growing one crop alongside another. The purpose behind intercropping is to increase yields by doubling up on available growing space. Intercropping creates biodiversity, which attracts a variety of beneficial and predatory insects that isn’t possible with monoculture gardening.

Intercropping is growing one or more crops simultaneously on a field.
It has many benefits. It ensures all the nutrients are absorbed from the soil properly. It provides some insurance if one crop fails. It prevents to some extent disease from spreading throughout the field. Mark as brainliest.
