Answer: Aphids obtain plant juice by piercing the proboscies into sap of the phloem vessels of the plant.

Aphids are small soft bodied insects that use their piercing mouth part named as proboscies in order to suck juices produce by plant parts. They usually infest the plants in colonies. Aphids usually feed on the sap of the phloem vessels. Phloem vessels consist of water based sugar juice produced and stored as a result of photosynthesis. Once a phloem vessel is punctured the sap containing juice is sucked by the aphid's proboscies.
