Therefore to find out the area covered by the arc cover, we have to first find out the area of the square and then deduct the area covered by the area covered by quadrant.

We know the area of the square is = (Arm/side), therefore here the area of the side is 14 cms therefore the area of the squre comes to 14x14=196 square cms

Now the area of the qudrant is = Piexr2/4

Now the pie = 22/7

R = 7 so the area is (22/7)49/4= 22x7/4=38.5

Therefore the answer is 196-38.5 cms

157.5 square cms.
