Are viruses living or non-living? Justify.

viruses are considered to be living when it is present inside of Host's body they use their mechanism for survival as it becomes active at that time..
and if they are out {present in surroundings}
they are considered to be dead or almost dead..

Viruses are intermediate between living and non-living things, because when the viruses are outside of the host's body then it act as a non living thing. But when the viruses enters the body of an organism then it uses it's body mechanism for reproduction and survival and behaves as a living thing.
