area of square = side² = m² + 16m + 64
therefore, side of square = √(m² + 16m + 64) cm
to find m:
m² + 16m + 64 = 0
m² + 8m + 8m + 64 = 0
m(m+8) + 8(m+8) = 0
(m+8)(m+8) = 0
therefore,
area of square = (m+8)²
side of square = m + 8
perimeter of square = 4 × side
= 4(m+8)
= 4m + 32
therefore,
area of square is 4m + 32 cm.
