area of triangle=1/2 multiplied by base and multiplied by height

                   60=1/2 *15*height

                  60*2=  1*15*H

                   120=15*h

                 h= 120/15

                    height = 8 cm

Given,

The area of a triangle is 60 cm^2.

Base of the triangle = 15 cm

To find,

Length of the altitude of the triangle.

Solution,

We can simply solve this mathematical problem using the following process:

Let us assume that the height of the triangle is x cm.

Mathematically,

Area of a triangle= 1/2(base)(height)

{Statement-1}

Now, according to the question;

The area of a triangle = 60 cm^2

=> 1/2(base)(height) = 60 cm^2

{according to statement-1}

=> 1/2(15 cm)(x cm) = 60 cm^2

=> x = (60×2)/15 = 4×2 = 8

=> height of the triangle = 8 cm

Hence, the height of the triangle is equal to 8 cm.
