Our teacher had taught us about how every summer a drastic number of birds die due to the unavailability of proper water. She encouraged us to keep small bowls filled with clean water for them on the terrace. I started doing this and one such day, an interesting incident happened. One of the birds flew on top of it and as I was taking the dried clothes from the cloths' line I could see it sip water. I was happy looked at the bird as it sipped more. After a while, the bird flew away. By the time I was done picking my clothes, I noticed a huge swarm of birds aiming my terrace. My first reaction was fear. I then saw that one by one, they were all taking small sips from the bowl. I rushed down and along with my mother and brother, got more bowls filled with water. The birds all sipped the water happily and left once they were done. The incident was really enlightening and it showed me how our smallest actions can bring such a huge difference in another's life.
