Education has been on the rise in India.
- We are now successfully educating children from all backgrounds, though every child is still not educated.
- However, our education system is flawed.
- Most schools rely on throwing facts and feeding information to their children.
- Children rarely understand what they learn and therefore cannot think for themselves.
- Whilst they are good at memorising, they are not good at answering similar questions on their own.
- Therefore they have no real knowledge about life as they have simply amassed information.
- Technology is not helping them study either, because children would rather copy from websites than answer questions on their own.
- When these children try to go out of the country for a foreign education, they find it hard to cope with.
- The education system must be holistic, and must encourage students to think on their own, rather than spoon feeding them.
