The Problems of Youth in India

Good morning everyone present; I am going to express my views on ‘The Problems of Youth in India’.

The youth of India have inherited many problems from their predecessors. Since India is a developing country, there are many problems facing the youth. Problems such as corruption, nepotism, poverty, unequal distribution of natural resources, unemployment, mismanagement of national resources, etc.

The youth have the potential to solve all the problems. The youth are the miraculous power of any country. The youth are the best hope of mankind. If any future goals of success, prosperity, peace, and safety are to be accomplished, their participation is a must. Similarly, if a country wants to achieve the goal of national development, it will have to involve the youth in the development programmes.

The youth can contribute best by giving their best. Each one of them must do their job and responsibilities perfectly. All the challenges can easily be overcome provided the entire youth power and resources are utilized and used optimally under the right guidance of dedicated leaders. India can do wonders. India will do wonders surely. And that will happen only when the Indian youth set their hearts to make India the land of opportunities, growth, and prosperity with their words, deeds, and acts.

What India needs is Lincoln like young politicians who are motivated divinely and who have passion to serve their motherland and millions of brothers and sisters in need.

One thing is crystal clear; unless the youth pledge to come forward and tackle these problems, these problems will continue to persist. The youth under the able guidance of wise and experienced elders should shoulder the responsibilities of solving all the problems.

Heya

The youth of today has been widely outclassed; they do not consider themselves to be too young to be pampered, and they are not supposed to be old enough to take responsibility on their own shoulders.

The main problem is the communication gap between them and their elders — the former believing themselves to be old enough for taking their own decisions for matters personal or social while the latter just refuse to hand over this responsibility to them. This leads to temperaments rising high more often.

The most common problem a person faces at this phase of life is peer pressure. They are pressures by either dares or threats into doing what one would rather avoid. Some people are naturally competitive and they strive to act in ways that could help settle their 'image' either to impress or intimidate others. This can be seen in their disobedience of their elders who try to advice them through experiences which these young ones lack at the moment but fail dismally.

Six out of every 10 such people are usually short-tempered and rude in their response. Many hesitate in taking their parents' advice in different matters, particularly in issues which according to them are very modest and thus they land up in taking up the wrong decision. Today's youth is more outgoing, more extravagant in their desires and less into their studies; they are stubbornly leading a luxurious lifestyle and know less of the benefits of hard work excluding fitness.
