Arun is a well mannered, studious, disciplined boy studying in the 9th standard. Arun has been consistently doing well in his studies till the 8th standard. But lately he has been feeling a lot of distractions. He could not focus much on his studies too.
He now enjoyed hanging out with friends, watch movies, play video games, even outdoor games with friends. These things did not initially affect his studies or his behaviour. But eventually they started distracting him to the extent that he would start feeling restless until he heard from his friends or he met with them.
There was again nothing wrong in all this. This only turned for the worse when he started getting home late after playing or meeting up with friends. It did disturb him that he was acting irrational by not doing the necessary school work on time or keeping to a regular disciplines study hours which he was doing earlier.
Arun's parents started getting worried and took him temple for special prayers to get God's blessing and hoping God would give him some wisdom. When that did not work they even took him to an astrologer!
Arun then decided he would take matters into his own hands and met his school councellor. He spoke frankly with his councellor, revealing his weaknesses and shortcomings without hesitation and also his strength in realising his folly and taking an action for correction. The councellor appreciated this very much and started guiding him to get over the temporary set back.
Arun started getting back to his old habits of following a disciplined routine of systematic studies and preparation for the exams. It took a long time to make up for the lost time but then persistence pays!
He also started feeling better and felt released from a big burden.

Answer:

Arun is a class X student. For last one month, he has been feeling very restless and disturbed. This was because of his anxiety toward the coming boards' exam. He was so worried and tensed about the exam that he was not able to concentrate on his studies. When his mother noticed such thing she immediately asked him the problem. He told everything to his mother. She made him comfortable and asked him to concentrate on his studies without taking such tensions. He felt very relaxed and started his preparation of studies again.
