Lion and other carnivores always depend on flesh for food.
So, they must have sharp canine to tear the flesh and to attack and kill the animals.

carnivores eat flest which is torn with the help of canines while hervivores and omnivores eat ptants which is grinded or bitten with inciscors, molars and premolars.
for this reason carnivores have well developed canines.
