PROS

Casinos contribute to the infrastructure of a State. They attract tourists and provide market for several complementary business, besides providing employment for people of the state. Taxes on casino earnings, as well as individual earnings, boost the state exchequer.  

CONS

Casinos and gambling set a bad impression on a conservative state. People may get addicted to gambling, ignoring family and employment. Alcoholism and indebtedness are some of the other ills of gambling.
