Radioactive decays happened when an unstable atomic nucleus lost its energy by the process of emitting energy in a form of electromagnetic waves. This is called radiation.

Explanation:

  • There are total three types of radioactive radiation occurs, i.e Alpha decay, Beta decay and Gamma decay.
  • The alpha decay happened when there are so many protons are present in the nucleus.
  • The beta decay happed when there are so many neutrons are present in the nucleaus.
  • The gamma decay happened when any nucleus has excessive energy in it.
