So, you are attracting the earth with your mass, and, the earth is attracting you, with its mass.

Your mass is statistically zero compared to earth, so, if you leap into the air, the earth doesn’t follow you upwards, it pulls you back down.

You ARE pulling the earth up to you on that leap though, but, your mass is so little in comparison, it just doesn’t matter.

Similarly, the moon is pulling the earth to it, and, the earth is pulling the moon too.

The earth has more mass than the moon, so, the earth is pulling more than the moon is pulling, but, in this case, unlike you vs the earth, the moon’s mass IS significant, and does make a difference.
