Regeneration is the process by which cut body parts grow into an organism.
It cannot be considered as a true mode of reproduction as organisms won't depend on it to produce offsprings.
Hydra reproduces by budding. However, it also exhibits regeneration upon being cut into pieces.
If a yeast cell gets cut somehow, it'll simply die. It will not regenerate as it doesn't have the special cells needed to regenerate.
Don't get confused between regeneration and budding. Budding is a true mode of reproduction.
Best of luck for science!

As all organisms don't have tendency to regrow their parts. Hence as yeast don't have the capacity they don't regenerate their body parts.
Even Lizard can regrow its tail but cannot reproduce by the process regeneration as only tail parts have the tendency to regrow.
In mammals it is not possible as they don't have the capacity of regrowing parts.
:) Hope this Helps !!!
