As we go from species to kingdom in a taxonomic hierarchy, the number of common characteristics (a) will decrease. For Example, the mango tree (Mangifera indica) is under kingdom Plantae as well as the unicellular algae chlamydomonous is also under kingdom plantae, but they have only one similarity that both produce chlorophyll and have cell wall. all other characteristics are dis similiar.
