The constituent assembly contributed majorly to the formation of the Indian Constitution by preparing and recording all the essential documents.

EXPLANATION:

The assembly recorded all documents to form the twelve volume constitution of India. The constituent assembly also decided upon the basic principles to be included in the constitution.

The draft of the constitution was also prepared by the constituent assembly.  The committee worked in an open and systematic manner for 114 days over a span of three years.
