Petroleum is heated in a furnace. On heating and passing it through distillation tower, the different substances are separated at different boiling points.

In fractional distillation initially petroleum gas is separated on 25°C

Petrol at 30°C - 120°C

Naphtha at 120°C - 180°C

Kerosene at 180°C - 260°C

Diesel at 260°C - 340°C

Lubricating Oil at 340°C

and then Fuel Oil 500°C

So, A/q, at 260°C temperature Diesel is separated.
