as we know that generally potential is the multiplication of electric field and distance so as we know value of electric field is equal to. 500 voltmeter and potential is equal to 3000 volt so distance is equal to 6 metre

Answer:

Distance, d = 6 m

Explanation:

Electric field due to a point charge, E = 500 V/m

Potential due to the point charge, V = 3000 V

The relation between the electric field and the electric potential is given by :

E=\dfrac{V}{d}

d is the distance.

d=\dfrac{V}{E}

d=\dfrac{3000\ V}{500\ V/m}

d = 6 m

Hence, this is the required solution.
