Full marks =500
Then
A got 10℅less than b
A got 360
So
360*10/100
36
So
B got 360+36=396
Then
B got 25℅ more than c
So
B=396
396*25/100
99
So
C got 396-99=297
Then
C got 20℅ less than d
So100
got 297
So
297*20/100
59
D got 297+59=356
Then
D got 356
356/500*100
71.2 ℅

Percentage

Full marks of examination =500

As per given information,

  • A got 10\% less than B.
  • B got 25\% more than C.
  • C got 20\% less than what D got.
  • A got 360 marks.

Hence, B got (100+10)\% of A or 110% of A.

So , marks that B got is \frac{110}{100}\times 360=396

Hence B got 396 marks.

If B gets 25% more than that of C, which means,

C got the (\frac{3}{4})\times 100=75\% \ marks \ of\ B

\implies marks \ obtained\ by \ C =\frac{75}{100}\times 396=297

Hence C got 297 marks.

Marks obtained by D will be 120% of the marks obtained by C,

\imples \frac{120}{100}\times 297=356.4

Hence D got 356.4 marks, which is \frac{356.4}{500}\times100=71.28 \%.

Hence D got 71.28% of full marks.
