Dear Student,

◆ Electric field strength at larger distances -

Electric field at distance a from centre on the axial line is given by -

E = (1/4πε₀) 2r.p/(r²-a²)²

For larger distance i.e. r >>> a,

E = (1/4πε₀) 2p/r³

Electric field at distance a from centre on the equatorial plane is given by -

E = (1/4πε₀) p/(r²+a²)^(3/2)

For larger distances, i.e. r >>> a,

E = (1/4πε₀) p/r³

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
