Answer:

the value for m and n in equations

Step-by-step explanation:

let father's current age be m, son's age be n

so from 1st condition, m+n=48...eq1

after 2 years, father's age= m+2, son's age=n+2

from given condition, (m+2)=3(n+2)

by equating we get: m-3n =4...eq2

by solving equations 1 and 2 we get m and n which are the ages.

(please solve them yourself for practice, I want to answer others)

Step-by-step explanation:

Let present age of Mr Kumar = m years.

and his son's age= n years.

m+n = 48 equation 1.......

Now According to Question.

After 2 years their ages will be

m+2=3(n+2)

m-n=4 equation 2....

now add equation 1 and equation 2.

multiple by 3 in Equation 1.. , we will get

3m+3n=3×48= 3m + 3n= 144

= m - 3n = 4

= 4m = 148

= m= 37

putting the value of my in equation 1...

m + n = 48

37 + n = 48

n = 11

so the age of Mr. kumar is 37 years

and his son is 11 years.

I am trying to explain to step by step...
