We will calculate time of falling in y direction.
Acceleration in y direction is −g.
Assuming the coordinate system on the ground,
y−y0=−gt^2/2
0−80=−80 m=−10 t^2/2
t^2=2×80/10=16
Or,
t=4 seconds
Since velocity is constant (150 m/s) in horizontal direction.
So,
x−x0=150×4=600 m
The required distance is 600 m
