Atomic packing fraction of diamond structure less than that of fcc

Answer:

diamond is a hardest substance in the world

their covalent bond are very strong

they have tetrahedral void which have less than octahedral void... so packing efficiency is less for diamond than fcc which is equal to the octahedral void
