""Rajagopalachari"" broke the ""salt law"" at Vedaranyam.

It was also termed as ""Vedaranyam March"" or ""Vedaranyam Satyagraha"".

It was a formed as a branch of ""non-violent civil disobedience movement"" and it followed from the Dandi March that was led by ""Mahatma Gandhi"".

The object of the march was to object the tax on salt imposed by Britishers in India.
